Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. in Austin, TX seeks a Senior High Voltage Estimator to lead renewables pre-construction estimates for complex substations, transmission lines and medium voltage networks.

You will manage detailed bids, coordinate with civil, structural and electrical teams, and mentor junior estimators to ensure accurate, competitive estimates that drive profitability. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 7–10 years of construction estimating experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Accubid Enterprise a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates from quantity take-off, vendor/subcontractor quotes, bid leveling, and final assembly.
• Review drawings, specs, and attend pre-bid meetings to define scope and contents.
• Identify risks and work with project team on mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with civil/structural/electrical teams during estimation.
• Provide leadership to junior estimators and mentor team members.
• Maintain working documents and data to back-up estimate figures.
• Develop labor productivity estimates and installation unit costs from site data.
• Solicit quotes from qualified suppliers/subcontractors and verify conformance with plans.
