Republic Services, Inc. Maintenance Technician A performs repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, braking, engine, HVAC, and drive-train systems. Work under supervision, servicing a state-of-the-art fleet and supporting drivers on daily routes.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues and repair complex truck systems.
• 5-7 years of experience as a technician on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to inspect and repair multiple heavy truck systems with limited supervision.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• LNG and/or CNG experience is a plus but not required.
• CDL class B or higher is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains advanced knowledge of vehicle components and systems and performs complex repair functions on-site and on the road.
• Chassis component repair and maintenance.
• Refuse bodies and associated control, hydraulic, and electrical systems; air and hydraulic braking systems.
• Engine repair and diagnostics.
• Diagnostics of diesel fuel systems and fuel systems.
• Suspension, drivetrain and steering systems repair and diagnostics.
