Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment. The role covers chassis, refuse bodies, air brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and electrical systems across our fleet.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues with advanced technical expertise.
• 5-7 years of experience as a heavy-duty truck technician.
• Ability to inspect and repair heavy truck systems with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain chassis components.
• Repair refuse bodies, including hydraulic and electrical systems; service air and hydraulic brakes.
• Repair engines and diagnose engine-related issues.
• Diagnose diesel fuel systems and perform fuel system diagnostics.
• Service suspension, drivetrains, and steering systems.
• Diagnose HVAC systems and repair components.
• Diagnose and service aftertreatment systems including REGEN.
• Diagnose electrical issues using scan tools.
• Perform line maintenance, welding, and fabrication.
• Identify malfunctions using a variety of electronic tools.
