Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis, refuse bodies, air brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension, and drive train systems. Work with state-of-the-art equipment and support our drivers with reliable service on daily routes.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• 5-7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Inspections and repairs on heavy truck systems with minimal supervision when needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintains advanced knowledge of vehicle components and repair functions both on-site and on the road.
• Chassis component repair and maintenance.
• Refuse bodies, including control, hydraulic and electrical systems; Air and hydraulic braking systems.
• Engine repair and diagnostics.
• Diagnose diesel fuel systems and fuel systems diagnostics.
• Suspension, drivetrain and steering system work.
• HVAC diagnostics and repair.
• Diagnose Aftertreatment, REGEN and related diagnostics.
• Diagnose electrical concerns with scan tools.
• Line maintenance, welding and fabrication.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and complete required company training.

ASE Heavy Truck Certification (T1-T8)
