Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel refuse trucks and equipment. Work includes chassis, hydraulics, air brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension, and electrical systems.

The role offers training on advanced technologies, a regular shift in a stable industry, and opportunities for growth within a leading environmental services company.

Qualifications

Must diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate strong technical expertise.
Experience of 5–7 years as a technician on heavy-duty trucks is required or preferred.
Certification in ASE Heavy Truck (T1–T8) is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair chassis components and refuse bodies including control, hydraulic and electrical systems.
Repair and diagnostics of engines, fuel, air brake and aftertreatment systems.
Diagnose electrical concerns with scan tools and perform line maintenance, welding and fabrication.
Perform inspections/repairs on suspensions, drive train, steering, HVAC and related components.
Complete required company training and perform other duties as assigned.
