Job summary

Independence Excavating is seeking a Heavy Civil Project Manager to lead project execution from submittals to closeout. You will supervise budgets, schedules, RFIs, contracts and purchase orders while maintaining client relations and professional owner interfaces.

This role reports to the Senior Project Manager. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of large commercial construction project experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5 years of experience managing large commercial construction projects.
• Ability to develop positive working relationships with owners, project engineers and local government offices.
• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks across sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the project plan, including budgets, schedules, submittals, RFIs, contracts and purchase orders.
• Coordinate with superintendents to determine equipment and crew needs.
• Monitor project cost vs. estimate and maintain profit margins.
• Prepare monthly job cost and profit projections.
• Lead coordination with subcontractors and material deliveries on major items.
