Job summary

Independence Excavating, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Civil Project Manager to oversee complex construction projects from start to finish. You will manage budgets, schedules, submittals, RFIs, contracts, and purchase orders while maintaining strong owner interaction and professional communications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing large commercial construction projects.
• Strong organizational and relationship-building skills with owners and project engineers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and manage submittals, RFIs, budgets, schedules, and contracts.
• Coordinate equipment, crews, and material deliveries across multiple sites.
• Develop take-offs and estimates for project cost control.
• Travel to project sites as required, up to 25%.
