Job summary

The Osborn Engineering Company is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with healthcare design experience to join our Pittsburgh team. You will lead multi-discipline projects, mentor staff, and ensure client needs are met with high standards of quality and coordination.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of mechanical design experience, HVAC and plumbing expertise, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. PE is desirable, and collaboration with managers and directors is essential to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (PE desirable).
• 10+ years’ mechanical design or related experience.
• Experience in HVAC and plumbing design.
• Healthcare engineering, planning and/or programming experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Multi-discipline project management, design and deliverable execution.
• Client and Junior Staff Management.
• Project due dates.
• Time management.
• HVAC and plumbing calculations.
• Building load analysis via Trane Trace or Carrier HAP.
• Building/equipment and program assessment, study capability.
• Project specification development (book specs), equipment selection.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. (Required)
• Typical construction administration including shop drawing review, RFI's and project closeouts.
