Job summary

Osborn Engineering is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with healthcare design experience to join our Pittsburgh team. You will lead multi-discipline HVAC and plumbing design efforts, perform building load analyses, and assist in project management to meet client needs.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 10+ years of design experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. PE is desirable; healthcare experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; PE desirable.
• 10+ years of mechanical design or related experience.
• Experience in HVAC and plumbing design.
• Healthcare engineering, planning and/or programming experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Multi-discipline project management, design and deliverable execution.
• Client and Junior Staff Management.
• Project due dates.
• Time management.
• HVAC and plumbing calculations.
• Building load analysis via Trane Trace or Carrier HAP.
• Building/equipment and program assessment, study capability.
• Project specification development (book specs), equipment selection.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. (Required)
• Typical construction administration including shop drawing review, RFI's and project closeouts.
