Job summary

The Osborn Engineering Company is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 10-20 years of experience for our Columbus, OH office. You will report to the Manager of Mechanical Engineering and manage project teams for healthcare, commercial, and public sector projects.

Responsibilities include project and client management, proposals, design process oversight, and QA/QC. PE license preferred; Revit proficiency is expected. Competitive salary with profit sharing and stock ownership available.

Qualifications

• 10-20 years of Mechanical Design Experience in Consulting Engineering.
• Excellent Organizational and Communication skills.
• Proactive and Collaborative team member.
• Ability to work and manage several project teams concurrently.
• Experience in Healthcare, Commercial, Public Sector, Industrial, Education, and/or Institutional projects.
• Working knowledge of Revit.

Responsibilities

• Project and Client management.
• Preparation of proposals and administering project contracts, including Add Service Agreements.
• Understand work planning and manage the design process to the available hours in the work plan.
• Supervise staff or self‑perform the following: HVAC design details, ductwork, equipment room sizing, specifications, and sequence of operations.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for HVAC details; meet with vendors and contractors during bid phase; respond to RFI's; perform field verification and take-offs.
• Conduct business development activities and participate in trade organizations.
