Job summary

Osborn Engineering seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Columbus, OH, to report to the Manager of Mechanical Engineering. The role includes project and client management, proposal preparation, and guiding the design process through SD, DD, and CD phases for healthcare, commercial, public sector, and institutional projects.

Candidates should have 10–20 years of mechanical design experience, strong communication, and the ability to lead multiple project teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ to 20 years of Mechanical Design Experience in Consulting Engineering.
• Excellent Organizational and Communication skills.
• Proactive and Collaborative team member.
• Ability to work and manage several project teams concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Project and Client management.
• Preparation of proposals and administering project contracts, including Add Service Agreements.
• Understand work planning and manage the design process to the available hours in the work plan.
• Supervise staff or self-perform the following: SD/DD/CD documentation, HVAC system design and calculations, and coordination with other disciplines.
• Meet with vendors and contractors to review design details and specifications.
• Respond to RFIs and review submittals; perform field verifications and take-offs.
