Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an analytics professional to own a broad portfolio of financial, operational, and clinical performance analyses. You will partner with hospital and physician stakeholders to explain trends using GL, patient, and procedure data, quantify key drivers, and mentor junior analysts.

This role emphasizes ad-hoc analyses, variance reporting, and executive summaries of major projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or related field OR 6 years of related experience
• 3 years in Decision Support and Data Analysis
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and able to analyze diverse data sets
• Ability to work with large data volumes and derive strategic insights
• Multitask and manage time to meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to partner with the organization
• Self-starter who drives progress on major projects

Responsibilities

• Conducts detailed analysis of volume, revenue, cost, and profitability to explain results
• Performs ad-hoc analyses to support business trends and leadership requests
• Analyzes variances vs. budget or forecast to identify opportunities
• Combines financial, operational, and clinical data for context and insights
• Uses rate/volume calculations to quantify payer and mix impacts
• Creates and presents executive summaries of major analytics projects
• Other duties as assigned
