Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an experienced Analyst to drive detailed analytics and reporting on financial, operational, and clinical performance. You will partner with hospital and physician stakeholders, explain trends, and quantify key drivers. Mentors will be supported to grow within the team.

Responsibilities include ad-hoc analyses, variance analysis, and executive summaries, with a focus on actionable insights and adherence to HIPAA and privacy policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or related field or 6 years of related experience.
• 3 years in Decision Support and Data Analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Ability to analyze and interpret various data types including financial results and operational metrics.
• Ability to work with large data sets and extract strategic insights.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Self-starter with initiative and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Conducts analysis of volume, revenue, cost, and profitability to explain results.
• Performs ad-hoc analyses for major initiatives and leadership requests.
• Analyzes variances vs budgets, forecasts, and benchmarks.
• Combines financial with operational/clinical data for context.
• Uses rate/volume calculations to quantify impact of patient/procedure/shifts.
• Creates and presents executive summaries with recommendations.
• Mentors junior analysts and supports team development.
• Adheres to HIPAA and data privacy guidelines.
