Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an analytics and decision-support professional to partner with hospital and physician stakeholders, delivering financial, operational, and clinical insights. You will leverage detailed data to explain trends and quantify key drivers, while mentoring junior analysts on the team.

You will conduct analytical projects, create executive summaries with findings and recommendations, and support major initiatives across AHN's network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or related field OR 6 years of related and progressive experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
• 3 years in Decision Support and Data Analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and able to analyze and interpret data including financial results, operational metrics, clinical outcomes, and other key datasets.
• Ability to work with large quantities of detailed data and illuminate higher-level strategic insights affecting operations.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop partnerships across the organization.
• Self-starter who takes initiative and drives progress on major projects.

Responsibilities

• Conducts detailed analysis of volume, revenue, cost, and/or profitability to explain financial results and enhance business understanding.
• Performs ad-hoc analyses on topics as requested by leadership.
• Analyzes variances relative to budget, forecast, prior year to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Supplements financial analysis with operational and/or clinical data for contextual insights.
• Uses rate/volume calculations to quantify the impact of changes in patient, payor, or procedure mix.
• Creates and presents executive-level summaries with findings and recommendations.
• Other duties as assigned or requested.
