Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a Head Bookkeeper to lead the bookkeeping team and oversee daily financial record-keeping, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate reporting. You will supervise staff, coordinate month-end close, and partner with accounting and finance to support audits and budgeting.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong technical skills in Appfolio and QuickBooks, and meticulous attention to detail to maintain data integrity across all financial processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years bookkeeping experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proficiency with Appfolio and QuickBooks; strong GAAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily bookkeeping operations, including AP, AR, payroll, and GL entries.
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
• Review and reconcile bank and credit card statements to maintain accuracy.
• Prepare and maintain detailed financial reports to support audits.
• Lead, train, and mentor bookkeeping staff to uphold best practices.
• Collaborate with finance to support month-end and year-end closings.
• Monitor tax compliance and assist in tax filings and reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and controls.
