  • Act as the primary technical contact for your control module, creating release artifacts and facilitating communication across teams.
  • Perform trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition to translate customer needs into hardware and software specifications.
  • Partner with the vehicle architecture team to establish electrical system and network communication requirements, optimizing hardware designs.
  • Use Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to define and track electrical interfaces.
  • Decompose system functionality into modular components and work with EDS teams on connection interfaces and I/O allocation.
  • Conduct technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation to support prototype development and ensure hardware functionality.
  • Identify testing needs, assist with testing activities, and help analyze events and anomalies.
Qualifications

You will have:

  • B.S. in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of experience with complex electrical systems or electronics design.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals applied to automotive systems.
  • Proven debugging and diagnostic skills across electrical, mechanical, and software domains.
  • Expertise in low voltage systems development, vehicle system architecture, functional safety, and component integration.
  • Experience with requirements management software (e.g., JAMA).
  • Knowledge of microprocessor-based system design and communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet.
  • Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic, high-performing team environment.
  • A systems approach to design with a desire for continuous improvement.

Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields, hands-on experience with electrical test equipment, experience with automotive electrical development, FMEA, HARA, and embedded software involving networked microcontrollers.
