Job description

Job Description: Senior Electrical Systems Integration Engineer, Body Controls

In this position, you will be a key leader in the electrical system design and integration of components within the body controls subsystem. You will lead the end-to-end integration of these systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support product design, vehicle behavior definition, prototype bring-up, and debugging. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation and performance of these systems, from concept through production. Your work will encompass activities such as supplier interaction, design optimization, hardware/software integration, and issue resolution.

Qualifications

You'll have:

  • B.S in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 6+ years of experience working on complex electrical systems or electronics designs
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and their application to automotive concepts
  • Proven debugging and diagnostic skills across electrical, mechanical, and software domains
  • Highly skilled in low voltage systems development, electric vehicle system architecture, functional safety, and component-level integration planning
  • Experience with requirements capture in requirements management software platforms (e.g., JAMA)
  • Experience with creating and modifying network interface description files
  • Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • An eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment as part of a high-performing team
  • A systems approach to design and development with a desire for continuous improvement

Even better, you may have:

  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
  • Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, power supplies, etc.)
  • Experience with body controls feature development and integration from concept through production launch
  • Experience with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA)
  • Experience with electrical/electromechanical devices involving networked microcontrollers and embedded software
  • Experience with creating and modifying network interface description files is a plus
