Job summary

Axon is seeking a Principal Hardware Systems Architect to own system architecture across electrical, RF, mechanical, thermal, and power domains within the Axon 911 hardware team. You will define standards, architecture, and engineering processes and partner with EE, RF, SW, and ME leads to ensure cohesive, production‑ready devices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hardware engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in at least two of electrical, RF, or mechanical engineering and working knowledge of the third.
• Track record of taking compact, connected hardware from concept to mass production (EVT/DVT/PVT).
• Experience owning system architecture and cross‑disciplinary technical decisions for complex hardware.
• Familiar with RF/antenna integration, power architecture, thermal management, EMI/EMC, shielding, enclosure design.

Responsibilities

• Develop system architecture with consideration for electrical, RF, mechanical, thermal, and software.
• Lead cross‑discipline design reviews and drive system-level decisions to achieve production readiness.
• Own the system‑level verification and validation strategy and manage risk across the program.
• Collaborate with ODM/JDM and manufacturing teams on production readiness and DFM/DFA.
