Job summary

Axon is seeking a Sr. Engineer II in Product Integrity to lead advanced hardware validation for body-worn cameras, TASER devices, sensors and related hardware. This role requires hands-on leadership, data-driven risk assessments, and the application of AI/ML to optimize testing cycles.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate across hardware, firmware, quality and manufacturing, and shape test strategy to ensure reliable field performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; advanced degree a plus.
• 12+ years in hardware test, validation, or reliability engineering.
• Proven track record leading validation for complex electromechanical hardware.

Responsibilities

• Own validation strategy and execution for hardware programs from requirements to production.
• Design, plan, and execute validation test plans for functional, environmental, EMC/EMI, reliability, and safety testing.
• Introduce AI/ML-driven analysis, predictive modeling, and simulation to identify failure modes earlier.
• Build and champion tools and models (digital twins, accelerated life models, ML-based anomaly detection) to optimize test coverage.
• Support Failure Analysis (FA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) across cross-disciplinary teams.
• Set technical standards for Validation Test Procedures (VTPs) and data infrastructure.
• Partner with hardware, firmware, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory teams on strategy and criteria.
• Represent Product Integrity in technical reviews with senior leadership.
• Mentor Sr. Engineers and Technicians on advanced test methods.
• Evaluate and pilot new test technologies and drive adoption.
