Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Hardware Development Engineer for Embedded Systems/Controls in Last Mile Delivery & Technology. You will own the hardware lifecycle from design to deployment and drive optimization for site throughput and reliability.

You'll lead electrical design, develop schematics, automate tests, integrate sensors and wireless modules, and collaborate with vendors to meet Amazon's demanding SLAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience designing PCBA-level circuits for consumer/industrial electronics.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and optimization for modules and sub-systems.
• Develop schematics and oversee PCBAs including placement and layout.
• Develop, execute, and automate electrical test plans.
• Integrate sensors and wireless modules.
• Lead hardware accelerators for on-device ML.
• Troubleshoot and implement mitigations across the lifecycle.
• Develop hardware/firmware interfaces and IIoT solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to balance feasibility and business goals.
• Manage relationships with vendors and manufacturers.
