Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, develop recovery plans, and lead orthotic fabrication while educating patients on wear and care.

Collaboration with hand surgeons and therapists is essential for cohesive care. The role requires a BS, plus a DPT or OT if possible, and a minimum of 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred; OT/OTD program graduate acceptable.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to patient age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Direct and supervise OT Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints; educate on wear and care.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, or postoperative conditions; provide scar management and return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons and other healthcare professionals; participate in interdisciplinary care planning.
