Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to lead specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, design custom splints, and create individualized recovery plans in a busy outpatient setting.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with OT or PT licensure, CHT credential, CPR/BLS, and 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab experience. Collaboration with surgeons and therapists is essential for multidisciplinary care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• DPT or OTD preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab and outpatient therapy.
• Current state PT or OT license and CHT credential; CPR/BLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of Occupational Therapy Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand and upper-extremity conditions.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat patients with orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehabilitation as appropriate.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions.
