Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, design splints, and create individualized recovery plans for diverse conditions.

Collaborate with hand surgeons and therapists, supervise assistants, and contribute to education. Responsibilities include orthotics fabrication, wound care, scar management, and return-to-work rehab with meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• DPT or MOT preferred; OT program accreditation completed.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab or outpatient therapy.
• Current state PT or OT license; CHT credential.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Orthotic fabrication experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to patient age and disability.
• Document delivery of occupational therapy services.
• Direct and supervise OT assistants, students, and staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and educate on custom orthoses and splints.
• Treat post-surgical, orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, and nerve rehab cases.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, physicians, and other therapists; participate in care planning.
