Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. The role includes patient evaluation, custom orthoses, and developing recovery plans at our on-site facility in Oklahoma.

Responsibilities include supervising OT staff and students, collaborating with hand surgeons and therapists, and delivering comprehensive post-surgical rehab, scar management, and return-to-work programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish plan of care.
• Provide hand/upper-extremity rehabilitation and custom splinting.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises OT Assistants, students, and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints; educate on wear and care.
• Treat post-surgical and injury rehab; manage scars, edema, wounds, and return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
