Job summary

Norman Regional Health System in Oklahoma seeks a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to deliver specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, create recovery plans, design and fit custom splints, and supervise OT staff and students in an outpatient setting.

Collaboration with hand surgeons and therapists is essential, along with education on orthosis care and post-surgical rehab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• Graduate from an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish the plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and condition.
• Directs and supervises OT Assistants, students, and staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and educate on custom orthoses and splints.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative patients.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, physicians, and therapists; participate in care planning.
