Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder rehabilitation. You will evaluate patients, develop recovery plans, and deliver targeted therapies in collaboration with hand surgeons and the rehab team.

The role includes orthotic design and fabrication, supervision of learners, and comprehensive documentation to support recovery and return-to-work goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab experience.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
• Current state PT or OT license.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Orthotic fabrication experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments; establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions for hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder.
• Document delivery of OT/PT services.
• Direct and supervise OTAs, students and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, physicians, therapists, and other professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions.
