Job summary

Norman Regional Health System in Oklahoma seeks a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to join a dedicated rehabilitation team focused on hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder functions. You will evaluate patients, develop individualized recovery plans, and fabricate custom orthoses to support healing and function.

Responsibilities include supervising OTAs and students, educating patients on orthosis care, and contributing to post-surgical and injury rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish plan of care for hand/upper-extremity rehab.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to patient age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of OTAs, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehab as appropriate.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, physicians, PTs, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions.
