AssemblyAI, Inc. in San Francisco is hiring our first Senior GTM AI Engineer to build pipelines, internal tools, and agents that decide which companies we target, how we reach them, and what sellers see when they open their laptops in the morning.

Most of the sales-ops work is now automated: researching accounts, drafting outreach emails, monitoring usage, and keeping the CRM clean. You will deploy production systems that move pipeline and revenue and collaborate with AEs, SDRs, and GTM

Qualifications

• 4+ years as a software engineer, data engineer, or growth/GTM engineer with time shipping systems others depend on.
• Strong Python and SQL with end-to-end production automations: APIs, webhooks, scheduled jobs, retries, monitoring.
• Experience building with LLMs beyond a single prompt: multi-step agents, tool use, retrieval, and evaluation.
• AI-assisted development using Claude Code or similar tools daily with engineering judgment to review and stand behind outputs.
• Solid fundamentals: clean code, version control, debugging, and systems thinking; you can ship without a dedicated team.
• Curiosity about how a sales org works; willing to learn CRM and related tools quickly.
• Builder mindset: scope for business impact, ship iteratively, measure pipeline and revenue.

Responsibilities

• Write code daily: Python services, SQL models, scheduled jobs, and small internal apps.
• Build agents that perform account research, lead qualification, outreach drafting, CRM hygiene, and usage monitoring.
• Turn product usage data in BigQuery and Looker into signals for sellers to act on.
• Build the account targeting machine from raw data to a ranked queue for reps.
• Integrate CRM and enrichment/outbound tools to move data without human input.
• Keep funnel data trustworthy with routing rules, field governance, and attribution.
• Prototype quickly, measure results, and work with Sales/Marketing leadership on what to build next.
• Document what you build so it runs without you.
