Job summary

ABM is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive growth in the Manufacturing and Distribution sector. You will prospect, build a robust pipeline, and retain accounts by presenting new solutions and coordinating with marketing and operations.

Lead strategic initiatives and own the territory landscape. You will leverage client relationships, respond to RFPs, and oversee proposals, budgets, and bid processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams to win and implement

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Business Development and Sales.
• Bachelor’s degree or significant related experience.
• Hunter mentality with services sales experience required.
• Manufacturing/Distribution Facility Services Sales (janitorial, engineering, parking management, security, fire protection, pest control, etc.).
• Relevant and immediate sales contacts within the territory preferred, i.e. JLL, CBRE, CW, or other property management & owners.
• Work well under pressure to meet established goals.
• Salesforce or other CRM & Excel preferred.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a matrixed and diverse workforce, collaborate with operations, other departments, and teams.
• Strength in writing and presenting compelling, detailed, sales proposals.
• Well organized and able to handle multiple proposals and processes simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute short and long-term sales plans; attract new prospects and close new business.
• Own the information base on prospective clients within the territory.
• Use ABM marketing materials to create detailed proposals.
• Research a customer's facility solutions and schedule a bid walk with the prospect.
• Include operations teams in strategic planning and execution.
• Negotiate contracts and manage the transition to operations.
• Position yourself as a local leader; build a diverse network of relationships.
• Maintain territory database using Salesforce.
• Effectively manage the assigned budget.
• Support online and direct marketing campaigns.
• Monitor bid schedules and know the competition.
• Assist in training as needed.
• Develop a network of operators and collaborate with prospects.
• Assist the corporation with competitive intelligence.
• Salesforce or other CRM & Excel preferred.
