Job summary

Zendesk seeks a Senior Manager, Growth Analytics to lead a team of analysts advancing product-led growth analytics across the customer journey. You will shape analytics strategy, work closely with PLG Product Managers and Engineers, and drive measurement and reporting to enable data-driven decisions at scale.

You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Data teams to improve self-service analytics, define business questions, and establish success metrics for growth

Qualifications

• Significant experience in product analytics, growth analytics, BI, data science, or related field in SaaS with PLG/self-service motion.
• Experience designing, measuring, or interpreting product experiments and A/B tests, with understanding of statistical concepts.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with complex data across multiple sources.
• Experience using Python, R, or another language for statistical analysis or data prep.
• Experience with modern data platforms (Snowflake/dbt) is helpful.
• Ability to define meaningful metrics and measurement plans in partnership with Product/Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Help leaders understand PLG journey performance, friction points, and opportunities to improve outcomes.
• Build effective relationships across Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering and Data teams to drive self-service bookings and growth.
• Partner with PLG product managers and engineers to define questions, hypotheses, goals, and success metrics.
• Lead and develop a team of growth analysts with coaching and career growth.
• Establish and evolve measurement for the PLG funnel (acquisition, activation, retention, expansion).
• Analyze customer behavior using segmentation, cohort, funnel, retention, and experimentation methods to identify growth opportunities.
• Design measurement plans for product initiatives and experiments, including success metrics and instrumentation needs.
• Improve quality of product analytics via consistent metric definitions, event tracking, and dashboards.
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate analysis, SQL/Python development, data modeling, and documentation.
