Job summary

Zendesk seeks a Senior Manager, Growth Analytics to lead a team of analysts and partner with PLG product managers and engineers across the customer journey. You will shape analytics strategy, operating model, and capabilities to enable product teams to make informed decisions at scale.

You will drive measurement for the PLG funnel, work across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Data teams, and apply advanced analytics to improve acquisition, activation, retention, and expansion.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in product analytics, growth analytics, BI, data science, or related field in SaaS.
• Experience designing and interpreting product experiments and A/B tests, with understanding of statistics and causal reasoning.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with complex data across multiple sources.
• Experience using Python, R, or similar for analysis or data prep.
• Experience with modern data platforms (Snowflake, dbt) is helpful.
• Ability to define meaningful metrics and measurement plans with product and engineering.
• Experience building dashboards and self-service reporting; familiarity with Looker/Tableau/Amplitude/Pendo/Segment.

Responsibilities

• Help leaders understand PLG journey performance, friction, and opportunities to improve outcomes.
• Build relationships across Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering and Data teams to drive self-service bookings and growth.
• Partner with PLG PMs and Engineers to define questions, hypotheses, goals, and success metrics.
• Lead and develop a team of growth analysts with coaching and career growth support.
• Establish and evolve measurement for the PLG funnel (acquisition, trial, activation, conversion, retention, expansion).
• Analyze customer behavior using segmentation, cohort, funnel, retention, and experimentation methods.
• Design measurement plans for initiatives and experiments, including success metrics and instrumentation requirements.
• Improve product analytics via consistent metric definitions, event tracking, datasets, dashboards, and self-service reporting.
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate analysis, reporting, SQL/Python development, data modeling, and documentation.
