Job summary

Zendesk is seeking a Senior Manager, Growth Analytics to lead a team of analysts and partner with PLG Product Managers and Engineers across the customer journey. The role blends hands-on analytics with strategic leadership to improve acquisition, activation, retention, and expansion.

You will shape analytics strategy, operating model, and capabilities to enable Product teams to make better decisions at scale. Strong SQL, Python/R, and BI tooling are essential.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in product analytics, growth analytics, BI, data science, or related field.
• Experience designing/measuring product experiments including A/B tests.
• Strong SQL skills across multiple sources.
• Proficiency in Python, R or similar for analysis.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms (Snowflake/dbt) and dashboards.
• Ability to define metrics and measurement plans with Product/Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Understand PLG journey performance and identify friction Points.
• Build cross-functional relationships to drive self-service bookings and growth.
• Define business questions, hypotheses, goals, and success metrics with PMs/Engineers.
• Lead and coach a team of growth analysts and manage priorities.
• Evolve PLG funnel measurement: acquisition to expansion and value.
• Analyze customer behavior using segmentation, cohorts, funnels, retention, experimentation.
• Design measurement plans for initiatives and experiments with guardrails and instrumentation.
• Improve product analytics with consistent metrics, event tracking, and dashboards.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate analysis, SQL/Python development, and documentation.
