Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Group Manager Logistics I to oversee multiple accounts, drive profitability, and align with safety and customer satisfaction goals.

You will lead staffing, development, and process improvements across Transportation/Distribution operations. The role emphasizes strong project management, stakeholder communication, and the ability to manage lean, multi-level teams in a fast-paced environment with up to 40% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain or equivalent plus 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Master's degree in related field preferred.
• 5+ years in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field.
• 5+ years in managing/direct reports and large multi-level teams.
• 3+ years leading complete logistics solutions and project management.

Responsibilities

• Set goals and develop employees; monitor performance and provide ongoing feedback.
• Develop direct and indirect reports; hire and train personnel.
• Create location processes and cross-train CLS/CLC staff.
• Maintain KPI tracking and drive improvements; ensure staff trained in Transportation/Distribution Mgmt.
• Reduce accidents and overtime; monitor safety and corrective actions.
• Lead process improvements and assign responsibilities to CLS/CLC teams.
