Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking a Principal Contracts Manager to support its Signal Technology Business Unit. The role combines individual contribution with leadership, focusing on contract administration, negotiations, and risk management across government and prime contracts.

We value collaboration with internal teams and external partners, strict adherence to FAR/DFARS, and the ability to obtain a US security clearance. Travel is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management or related field.
• Typically requires 6+ years of direct contract administration or business management experience with government or prime customers.
• Experience with USG, Prime and Commercial contracts.
• Familiarity with defense contract types (CR, CPFF, CPIF, FFP, T&M, IDIQ) and full contracting lifecycle.
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations with emphasis on Part 12 and Part 15.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with company policies and government regulations.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance; travel as needed (<10%).

Responsibilities

• Manage Program and Project Contracts supporting Line of Business.
• Review complex solicitations and prepare proposals; review and approve contractual documents for compliance with terms, conditions and customer specs.
• Draft/review/negotiates master agreements to protect company interests.
• Advise management on contractual rights, obligations, IP protections, OCIs and risk mitigation.
• Demonstrate problem-solving and proactive, detail-oriented approach.
• Maintain deadlines for internal/external requests; enter contract data into databases.
• Analyze and track contract compliance with other functions; interface with Government officials and customers.
• Coordinate with Contracts, Legal, Program & Product Management, Capture, Finance, Pricing, Proposal, Property, Quality, Engineering and others.
