Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking a Principal Contracts Manager to support Mercury's Signal Technology Business Unit as an individual contributor with leadership and problem-solving skills. The role requires strong knowledge of DoW/Government contracting and independent contribution with proactive attention to detail.

This position involves managing complex contracts, advising on rights and risk, and interfacing with government officials and internal teams to ensure compliance and protect Mercury's

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of direct contract administration/management experience with government, prime, or commercial customers.
• Experience with USG/Prime/Commercial contracts and FAR/DFARS.
• Ability to obtain US Government Secret security clearance; US citizenship required.
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Manage programs and project contracts supporting Line of Business.
• Review solicitations and prepare proposals; review and approve contractual documents for compliance with customer specs, T&Cs, FAR/DFARS, and company policies.
• Draft/review/negotiates complex agreements including master agreements to protect the company's interests.
• Advise management and program teams on contractual rights, IP protections, conflicts of interest and risk mitigation.
• Demonstrate effective and creative problem‑solving abilities.
• Maintain deadlines, enter contract data into databases, and track contract compliance.
• Externally interface with Government contracting officials and prime contractors; internally with Contracts, Legal, Finance, Pricing, Proposal, and others.
• Travel as required, estimated less than 10%.
