Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our Information Technology team supporting a large federal agency. You will partner with internal business owners and external partners to understand opportunities and define functional requirements.

You will translate requirements into process maps and technical specifications, develop operations documentation, and create executive-facing briefings.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in business analysis or systems analysis.
• Experience with phase-based and Agile delivery methods.
• Experience with Jira or other Agile tools.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users.
• Must work well in team and independently.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Document and analyze business and functional requirements to translate into process maps and technical system requirements.
• Develop comprehensive documentation including system diagrams, concepts of operations, and monthly status reports.
• Create high-level briefings and communications materials for customers, management, and executives.
• Identify and implement opportunities for service delivery improvement and new technology implementation.
• Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop manuals, specifications, and process documentation.
• Develop and implement an understanding of Microsoft and Atlassian products (Teams, SharePoint, Visio, Jira, Confluence).
• Research, outline, write and edit content for various media forms with a cohesive voice.
