Overstory is seeking a Staff Technical Recruiter to build the team that brings our mission to life. You’ll own full-cycle recruiting for technical roles, partnering with leaders from role definition through sourcing, interviewing, and closing offers, and occasionally shaping other roles like product or GTM based on needs.

You’ll join a People team of five, working with a global, remote-first team across 11 countries to scale our recruiting motion with systems, data, brand, and community.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technical recruiting experience in high-growth tech startups
• Proven track record closing hard-to-find technical talent (e.g., ML engineers)
• Thrives in fast-moving startup culture and takes initiative
• Trusted hiring partner who influences decisions
• Tech-savvy and able to apply AI to improve recruiting
• Experience building systems and tooling to scale recruiting
• Experience hiring across international, remote-first environments
• Passionate about climate mission
• Based in UK, Europe, or East Coast North America

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting for technical roles from role definition through sourcing, interviewing, and closing offers
• Partner with hiring managers and leadership to understand team needs and design effective hiring strategies
• Build and maintain candidate pipelines through creative sourcing and network-building
• Guide candidates through a thoughtful interview process across teams and time zones
• Develop and refine recruiting systems, processes, brand, and network to scale
• Use data and feedback to continuously improve hiring practices
• Act as culture ambassador and trusted partner reflecting Overstory's values
• Support the people team in a lean, fast-paced environment
