Job summary

Gates Corporation seeks a seasoned program leader to own global new product development strategy and a multi-year roadmap. You will align with product, operations, quality, supply chain, and regional leaders to drive programs from concept to launch.

With 12+ years in engineering and 5+ years in leadership, you will manage a global portfolio, ensure governance, and deliver on safety, quality, cost, and time-to-market targets.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive engineering and new product development experience.
• 5+ years of people-leadership experience leading managers or senior technical leaders.
• Experience leading globally distributed teams across regions and time zones.
• Experience with automotive/mobility development and quality systems (IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, ISO 9001, AS9100).
• Proven record of improving engineering execution, speed-to-market, and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute global NPD strategy, operating model, and multi-year roadmap.
• Own the global development portfolio: prioritization, budgets, capacity, and delivery commitments.
• Establish portfolio governance and executive-level decision updates.
• Lead portfolio reviews with executives and communicate tradeoffs, risks, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and regional leaders to execute programs.
• Drive on-time delivery while managing cross-program dependencies and enterprise risks.
• Monitor portfolio metrics such as cycle time, milestones, and launch performance.
