Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Mechanical Product Lifecycle Engineer to own mechanical cooling products across AWS data centers. You will work with a global team, manage product lifecycles, and drive improvements from design through deployment.

Travel up to 30% is expected as part of global collaboration. Candidates should have extensive data center engineering experience and strong knowledge of product lifecycle management and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Possess strong engineering judgement and ability to provide recommendations despite uncertainty.
• Work with global mechanical equipment suppliers and manufacturers.
• Support Operations including failure mode and root cause analysis, maintenance and troubleshooting support, and operating procedure review for mechanical and electrical issues.
• Listen to the voice of the customer to understand improvements for reliability.
• Oversee root cause analysis with design teams and contract manufacturers.
• Lead remediation efforts and drive continuous improvement at a global scale.
