Job summary

Voltava is seeking a Senior Benefits Specialist to design, implement, and manage global health, welfare and retirement programs. You will lead open enrollment, coordinate with brokers and vendors, and ensure accurate HRIS/payroll integration across regions.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of progressive benefits experience, strong regulatory knowledge (ERISA, ACA, HIPAA), and proven people leadership to mentor HR teams globally. Remote with 10–15% travel to Michigan HQ.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of progressive benefits experience in global or multi-national settings.
• Strong knowledge of health & welfare and retirement plans.
• Experience leading direct reports and managing vendor relationships.
• Familiarity with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA and related regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and continuously improve global benefits programs.
• Oversee open enrollment, system configurations, and vendor coordination.
• Partner with leadership on renewal strategy and cost management.
• Ensure benefits programs integrate with HRIS/payroll and comply with regulations.
