Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group in Colorado is seeking a Senior Underwriting Specialist with high hazard product liability experience to join our Specialty General Liability team. The role focuses on underwriting, selling, and managing high-complexity accounts to meet growth and profitability goals.

You will apply advanced technical and sales skills, analyze exposures, and use data to drive decisions within authority, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and agents across the country.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 5-7+ years underwriting experience.
• Experience driving agency relationships for profitable new/renewal business.
• Ability to analyze complex risks and manage multiple projects.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, solicit, underwrite, and sell new and renewal accounts with high technical complexity.
• Apply technical, sales, and analytical skills to insurance solutions.
• Use data to make risk decisions within authority.
• Prepare and explain rating instructions and decisions to agents.
• Collaborate with other Hanover departments to grow business.
