The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Underwriting Specialist with high hazard product liability experience. This full-time role supports underwriting, portfolio management and agency relationships, with a focus on profitable growth and risk expertise.

Work arrangements may be hybrid or fully remote, with occasional travel to key specialty locations. The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years in underwriting and a track record in driving profitable new and renewal business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5-7+ years underwriting experience.
• 5-7+ years’ experience driving agency relationships resulting in profitable new and renewal business.
• Proficient in identifying, analyzing and solving problems across complex risks and portfolios.
• Ability to adapt quickly to change and influence outcomes.
• Mentor for less experienced underwriters and collaborate across teams.

Responsabilités

• Identify, solicit, underwriting, and sell new and renewal accounts with profitable growth.
• Apply technical, sales and analytical skills to provide insurance solutions.
• Maintain and explain account decisions with clear documentation.
• Manage a portfolio to meet profitability, retention and growth targets.
• Develop relationships with agencies to drive growth across LOBs and regions.
• Collaborate with other Hanover departments to leverage opportunities.
