Job summary

EY is seeking a General Ledger / Accounts Payable Senior Associate in the US, supporting day-to-day GL, AP, and expense functions. The role requires preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and close activities while ensuring compliance with GAAP, FAR, CAS, and EY policies.

Strong collaboration with finance teams is essential. You will assist with Costpoint enhancements, testing, and process improvements, and support internal/external audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• 4–6 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with government contracting and cost accounting.
• Ability to obtain security clearance.
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger account structures and reporting requirements.
• Review journal entries for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules on deadlines.
• Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Support internal and external audits with schedules and documentation.
• Process accounts payable vouchers and expense reports.
• Maintain vendor master records and AP subledger.
• Collaborate with Finance and Compliance to ensure proper accounting treatment.
