Job summary

EY is seeking a General Ledger / Accounts Payable Senior Associate to support day-to-day GL, AP and expense functions for government contracting projects. You will prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and assist with audits, while promoting compliance with policies and internal controls.

You will collaborate with finance teams, support close activities, and utilize Costpoint and other tools to drive accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 4–6 years of related accounting experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Deltek Costpoint required.
• Experience with government contracting.
• Experience with general ledger, accounts payable and expense processes.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, lookups).

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger structures and configurations.
• Ensure GAAP, FAR, CAS compliance with EY policies.
• Review journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Prepare journal entries and schedules by deadlines.
• Maintain audit-ready documents and reconciliations.
• Support subperiod-end, month-end, quarter-end, year-end close.
• Process AP vouchers and expense reports per policies.
• Collaborate with Contracts, Subcontracts, Purchasing, Finance and Compliance.
• Assist with Costpoint testing and enhancements.
• Develop reconciliation templates and desktop procedures.
