Job summary

Zoom Communications, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant on the General Ledger team to own the full accounting lifecycle for capitalized software, including Internal Use Software and Cloud Computing Arrangements, while supporting close processes and financial reporting.

You will work with Engineering, FP&A, IT, and Finance in a remote-first, high-impact environment to ensure accurate recording and reporting, with opportunities to shape finance automation and ERP improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including at least 2 years in a public company.
• Solid US GAAP knowledge and month-end close cycle experience.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle/SAP) and advanced Excel.
• Experience with AI/automation in accounting processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the accounting lifecycle for Internal Use Software and Cloud Computing Arrangements (ASC 350-40).
• Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation and automate where possible.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts under US GAAP.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly variance analyses with FP&A explanations.
• Support financial reporting cycles with P&L summaries and schedules.
• Ensure SOX compliance and assist with control testing.
• Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual close and audits.
• Collaborate with IT to implement AI-driven tools and ERP improvements.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve data quality.
