Job summary

Zoom is seeking a Senior Accountant for the General Ledger team to own the full accounting lifecycle for Internal Use Software and Cloud Computing Arrangements. You will collaborate with Engineering, FP&A, IT, and Finance to ensure accurate recording and reporting in a remote-first environment, shaping automation within the controllership function.

We value experience in US GAAP, ERP systems, and a CPA credential; strong Excel and data-analysis skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• CPA license or active CPA candidacy (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and close processes.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle/SAP) and large data sets.
• Familiarity with AI/automation in accounting workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the accounting lifecycle for Internal Use Software and Cloud Computing Arrangements under US GAAP (ASC 350-40).
• Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation; enhance automation of processes.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve reconciling items.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly variance analyses with FP&A; explain P&L and balance sheet drivers.
• Support financial reporting packages and management summaries.
