Job summary

VHB is seeking a GIS Project Manager to join our growing New England team with a hybrid schedule across MA, RI, or CT offices. You will lead GIS projects, mentor staff, and contribute to client development while delivering high-quality GIS solutions.

Qualified candidates have 8+ years in GIS with at least 4 years in PM, and strong ArcGIS Pro/Online/Enterprise skills. A BS degree is required; Master’s preferred and GIS certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of GIS experience with at least 4 years in project management.
• BS in GIS, Geography, Planning, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Master’s degree preferred and may substitute for 1–2 years of experience.
• GISP certification preferred.
• Extensive experience with Esri’s ArcGIS Platform is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide project oversight to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Lead GIS pursuits and ensure successful technical delivery.
• Support business development with client relationships and proposals.
• Mentor GIS staff and provide technical direction.
• Represent VHB at industry conferences and deliver presentations.
• Configure web apps using ArcGIS Online/Portal and related tools.
• Write scopes of work and develop budget estimates for proposals and RFPs.
• Perform Quality Control on work products.
