Job summary

VHB is seeking a GIS Project Manager to join our growing New England team. The role offers a hybrid schedule with offices in MA, RI, CT, or other NE locations, and involves leading GIS projects across transportation, state DOTs, municipalities and federal agencies.

You will mentor junior GIS staff, manage budgets and scopes, and work with Esri software (ArcGIS Pro/Online/Enterprise) while developing web apps and maps.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of GIS experience with at least 4 years in project management.
• BS in GIS, Geography, Planning, Survey Engineering, CS or related field.
• Master's degree preferred; GIS certification is a plus.
• Extensive experience with Esri ArcGIS Platform (Pro/Online/Enterprise).

Responsibilities

• Provide project oversight to deliver GIS work on time and within budget.
• Lead GIS pursuits and contribute to successful technical delivery.
• Mentor GIS staff and support business development and client relations.
• Configure web applications using ArcGIS Online/Portal and related tools.
• Develop scopes of work, budgets, and perform quality control checks.
