Job summary
VHB seeks a GIS Project Manager to join our growing New England GIS team. The role supports a hybrid schedule from MA, RI, CT, or other NE offices, delivering GIS services across transportation, municipal, energy, and federal sectors. Strong leadership, mentor responsibilities, and Esri suite proficiency are essential.
The successful candidate will manage projects, contribute to proposals, and help grow client relationships while mentoring junior staff and delivering high-quality GIS solutions.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of GIS experience including 4+ years in PM
- BS in GIS, Geography, Planning, Survey Engineering or related field
- Master's preferred; GISP preferred
- Extensive ArcGIS Platform experience (ArcGIS Pro/Online/Enterprise)
Responsibilities
- Provide project oversight to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
- Lead GIS pursuits as Project Manager and guide technical delivery
- Support business development with proposals and client relationships
- Mentor GIS staff and provide technical direction
- Represent VHB at industry conferences and seminars
- Configure web apps using ArcGIS Online/Portal and related tools
- Work both independently and within a large team
- Propose solutions to project-related problems and estimate scopes of work
- Perform Quality Control on work products by others
