Job summary

VHB is seeking a GIS Project Manager to join our growing New England team, with a hybrid work model from Providence, RI, or other NE offices. This role leads GIS projects, mentors junior staff, and ensures on-time, on-budget delivery across transportation, DOT, municipal, energy, and federal clients.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in GIS with at least 4 years in project management, deep Esri software expertise, and strong business development or client-relations abilities, contributing

Qualifications

• 8+ years of GIS experience with at least 4 years in project management.
• BS in GIS, Geography, Planning, Survey Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• GISP certification preferred.
• Extensive ArcGIS Platform experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide project oversight on GIS projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Serve as Project Manager on GIS pursuits and guide technical delivery.
• Support business development with client relationships, proposals, and interviews.
• Lead mentorship of GIS staff and provide technical direction.
• Represent VHB at industry events and deliver technical presentations.
• Configure web apps using Esri ArcGIS Online/Portal to support projects.
• Communicate effectively as an individual and as part of a team.
• Propose ideas to solve project-related problems and write scopes of work.
• Perform quality control on work products.
